At the same time, Mr. Armenta said that Delawie has a vast experience in the hotel developing industry.

As part of the renovations the project includes construction of a main hotel tower that will include 215 more rooms and a 20,000 square foot pool deck, a parking garage, expansion of the existing gaming floor and additional food and beverage venues.

As part of the new Chumash Casino complex it will include a six-tier parking structure with 584 spaces and an additional 45,000 square feet of casino space.

So far, the tribe has said that there will not be an increase of new gaming devices.

According to the process required by the county to authorize the tribe’s expansion project, the Chumash have already provided $175,000 for a study of traffic improvements at the new intersection of State Route 246 and Alamo Pintado Road.

The project was offered in a public auction to eight different construction companies, but at the end only three were the choose.

“We’re considered one of the largest builders of casino hospitality work in the country and we’ve been associated with some of the most iconic projects in the country,” said Dick Rizzo, Vice President, Business Development of Tutor Perini’s Las Vegas office.
