Vitamin Angels acogerá evento familiar / Vitamin Angels to host family event

Vitamin Angels, una organización sin fines de lucro local con sede en Santa Bárbara durante más de 20 años, que proporciona apoyo nutricional a niños y madres en necesidad, será el anfitrión de un evento de la comunidad centrada en la familia en este próximo sábado 20 de agosto.

El evento se realizará de 10 a.m. a 12:00 p.m. en el Parque Alameda de Santa Bárbara, el cual tiene como objetivo sensibilizar sobre el trabajo que realiza la organización en los EE.UU. y en todo el mundo.

«Nuestro trabajo tiene que ver con asegurar las familias de todo el mundo obtener la oportunidad de ver a sus hijos reír, jugar y crecer con buena salud. Muchos de nosotros en Vitamin Angels tienen nuestras propias familias, por lo que compartir nuestro trabajo con las familias locales es especialmente significativo «, dijo Kim Saam, Vitamin Angels ‘Sr. Gerente de Marca y Comunicaciones.

Los asistentes podrán jugar, hacer manualidades, y aprender acerca de la importancia de la nutrición infantil para el buen crecimiento y desarrollo. El evento es gratuito y abierto a todas las edades.

Vitamin Angels, que ha estado en marcha su iniciativa de Verano de Ahorros de junio a agosto, reconocerán los residentes locales de Santa Bárbara que han participado en el ahorro y la donación de fondos para la organización.

El evento incluirá comida, diplomas de reconocimiento para los residentes locales que participaron en el «Verano de la campaña de ahorro» y la información bilingüe catering a la comunidad latina local.

«Tenemos programas de ayuda a las familias en México, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Panamá, Cuba, la República Dominic, Puerto Rico, Colombia y Perú y Bolivia», dijo Sam.

Fundada en SB en 1994 por el residente, Howard Schiffer, Vitamin Angels ayuda a las poblaciones en riesgo necesitados, específicamente mujeres embarazadas, madres y niños menores de cinco años.

Vitamin Angels trabaja para llegar a las comunidades marginadas a través de los EE.UU. y en más de 50 países de todo el mundo, incluidos muchos países latinoamericanos.El año pasado ayudaron a casi 50 millones madre e hijos en todo el mundo.  ν

Vitamin Angels, a local non profit based in Santa Barbara for over 20 years that provides nutritional support to children and mothers in need, will host a family-focused community event in this coming Saturday August 20 from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the  Alameda Park in Santa Barbara.

The event aims to raise awareness about the work that the organization does in the US and around the world.

“Our work is all about ensuring families all over the world get have the opportunity to see their children laugh, play and thrive with good health. Many of us at Vitamin Angels have our own families, so sharing our work with local families is especially meaningful,” said Kim Saam, Vitamin Angels’ Sr. Manger for Branding and Communications.

Attendees will be able to play games, do arts and crafts, and learn about the importance of childhood nutrition for good growth and development. The event is free and open to all ages.

Vitamin Angels, which has been running its Summer of Savings initiative June through August, will recognize local Santa Barbara residents who have participated in saving and donating funds to the organization.

The event will include food, diplomas of recognition for local residents that participated in the “Summer of Savings Campaign” and bilingual information catering the local Latino community.

“We have programs helping families in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Panama, Cuba, the Dominic Republic, Puerto Rico, Colombia and Peru and Bolivia”, said Sam.
