A Thousand Oaks man previously charged with practicing medicine without a license was re-arrested and arraigned on new charges after allegedly continuing to offer medical services in violation of court orders, prosecutors said Tuesday.

Nitun “Nate” Dayalghai Ahir, 43, faces new charges under Business and Professions Code section 2052 for allegedly providing unauthorized medical treatment just days after his initial arraignment in case number 2024030574. In that case, he is accused of presenting himself as a doctor and practicing without a license at Regen Spine & Nerve in Ventura.
According to the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office, Ahir was out on bail when the office received complaints indicating he was continuing to act as a medical professional, in direct violation of a bail condition set by Judge David Hirsch. That condition strictly prohibits Ahir from practicing medicine, soliciting medical business, treating patients, or receiving any compensation for medical work.
Prosecutors said Ahir also falsely used the title “Doctor” and the prefix “Dr.” to mislead others into believing he held a medical license.
An investigation by the California Department of Consumer Affairs confirmed that Ahir is not licensed as a physician, surgeon, nurse, nurse practitioner, chiropractor, or any other healthcare provider in California—or in any other state.
The Ventura County District Attorney’s Office is asking anyone who may have been treated or approached by Ahir to contact Investigator Eric Jensen at Eric.Jensen@ventura.org or call 805-662-1739.
Authorities also encourage the public to verify the licensure status of any healthcare provider by using the California Department of Consumer Affairs’ professional license verification website.
Ahir remains out of custody on $50,000 bail. Both his cases are scheduled for an early disposition conference on June 25, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. in Courtroom 12 of the Ventura County Superior Court.
