Detectives with the Oxnard Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit are actively working new leads in the senseless murder of 36-year-old Ronald Apodaca.

As a result, we are seeking additional information from the community to help solve this murder.

Mr. Apodaca was shot and killed on October 22, 2022, and November marks the thirteen-month anniversary of that incident. Despite the lifesaving efforts given by Emergency Medical Services, Mr. Apodaca succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Mr. Apodaca left behind a loving family.

Detectives are encouraging anyone who was present at the scene and may have heard or seen anything to contact Detective Meagan Tobey at (805) 385-7755.  The City of Oxnard offers a reward of $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any individuals responsible for committing homicides within the City.
