District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today that Manuel Villalobos (DOB 07/02/60), of Oxnard, was found guilty of molesting underage victims.
For the past 15 years, Villalobos molested young girls in the Oxnard area.
In September 2022, the first victim disclosed the sexual abuse by Villalobos. An investigation revealed a total of four victims whose ages during the abuse ranged from 6 to 16 years old.
Villalobos was charged with 11 counts of sexual assault.
On March 2, 2023, a Ventura County jury found Villalobos guilty of all counts and all special allegations were found to be true. He is facing a maximum of 136 years to life in state prison.
“The defendant targeted children who were particularly vulnerable for manipulation and sexual abuse,” said prosecutor Edward Andrews. “Because of the courage of these victims in reporting and testifying, he will never be able to do this again to other young girls.”
Senior Deputy District Attorney Edward Andrews, is a member of the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office Sexual Assault Unit.
Sentencing for Villalobos is scheduled for March 30, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. in courtroom 23 of the Ventura County Superior Court.
