Vieyra faces three counts of continuous sexual abuse and one count of sexual penetration by a foreign object with a child under the age of 14.

He is also accused in the criminal complaint of special allegations, including crimes against multiple victims. Vieyra made his first court appearance today and his arraignment was continued.

The 58-year-old is accused of molesting two victims over the course of many years. Both were minors under the age of 14 at the time of the abuse. Vieyra had access to the victims through a familial relationship.

In October 2024, investigators with the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office began investigating a child molestation case in which Vieyra was the suspect.

The Santa Paula Police Department was the originating agency in the investigation. Additional investigative work was completed by the District Attorney’s Bureau of Investigation and a warrant for the arrest of Vieyra was issued.

Vieyra was taken into custody by District Attorney investigators on February 13, 2025. The arrest took place without incident outside his Santa Paula home.

“These horrific allegations date back decades, causing the victims to suffer in silence,” said   District Attorney Nasarenko. “Today, however, thanks to the victims’ courage, we have brought these crimes to light and taken the necessary steps of arrest and prosecution.”

Vieyra’s continued arraignment is scheduled for March 14, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in courtroom 12 of the Ventura County Superior Court. He remains in custody on $100,000 bail.
