He was arrested on February 18, 2025, and pleaded not guilty. He remains free on his own recognizance.

In December 2024, Ventura County Sheriff’s detectives identified Skudarnov as a suspect in an investigation into the manufacture and possession of assault weapons. On January 7, 2025, a search warrant was executed at his residence, where authorities allegedly found two AR-15-style lower receivers. One of them was a ghost gun without a serial number and had tool marks indicating it was self-manufactured.

Additionally, officers seized an un-serialized pistol, an AR-15 upper receiver, several high-capacity magazines, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

The term “ghost gun” refers to firearms without serial numbers, making them untraceable by authorities.

The next court hearing for the case is scheduled for March 24, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. in courtroom 12 of the Ventura County Superior Court.
