Oak Park Man Charged With Gross Vehicular Manslaughter in Deadly Newbury Park Crash

Reb also faces a special allegation that classifies the offense as a serious felony.

The deadly crash occurred on May 6, 2025, at approximately 4 p.m., when Reb was driving a 2024 Jeep Wrangler. According to authorities, he collided with a Volkswagen Tiguan at the intersection of Via Las Brisas and Calle Del Prado.

Alejandro and Maria Ramirez were pronounced dead as a result of the collision. Investigators allege that Reb was driving recklessly, traveling at nearly twice the posted speed limit of 45 mph.

Following an investigation by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, Reb was arrested on June 30, 2025.

He is scheduled to be arraigned on July 14, 2025, at 8:15 a.m. in Ventura County Superior Court.

Reb is currently out of custody after posting $50,000 bail.
