ARCHDIOCESE OF LOS ANGELES TO HOST THE 4th ANNUAL PRIESTS VS. SEMINARIANS BASKETBALL GAME FUNDRAISER

The Office for Vocations of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles will host the 4th annual priests versus seminarians basketball game on Friday, February 11th at 7:30PM at Santa Clara High School, 2121 Saviers Rd. Oxnard, CA 93033.

The annual fundraising event is held in support of the priests and seminarians at St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo and the Queen of Angels Center for Priestly Formation in Gardena.

There will be an opportunity for family activities before the game, including children and adult races, contests, trivia questions and giveaways.

“The annual priests versus seminarians basketball game is an opportunity for the players to build up a sense of fraternity and brotherhood,” said Fr. Mike Perucho, Director of Vocations in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

“With fans and spectators in attendance or watching from home, we see the great support and love of our local Church, for our priests, and seminarians. It is our hope that through this event, a culture of vocations will grow within our families as they share the joy of priests in their lives and their sons, brothers, nephews, grandsons, and godsons consider the priesthood opening themselves up to God’s call and invitation to grow in holiness and discipleship.”

All proceeds of the game to support our priests and seminarians will go towards the Archdiocese’s ongoing vocation efforts in support of various retreats, promotion events and journeying with our men in discernment as they prepare for seminary formation.
